Sivan called me juz the day before to inform me abt it & all four of us (Sivan, Khor Kai, Hafid & I), went there w/o knowing wat event we were helping out.

needless to say, we were clueless.

we woke up early (6am on a Sunday, u noe!), except for Khor Kai (she woke up only wen Hafid called her at 8.10am) just so tt we could get our $20.

hehehe....

niways, we only knew tt we were helping out for the Inter-Constituency Netball Games when we reached there.

Hafid, as usual, was very excited wen we reached there, coz there were a LOT of girls - pretty, not so pretty, young & old.

Sivan and I were kinda neutral coz we were there only for the money. hehehe...

i kinda had to drag myself out of the hse coz i was having a slight fever, flu & cough.

but that still did not dampen my spirit to be there at Netball Singapore coz i kinda miss my classmates, lah...

as for Khor Kai, well... let's just say, it was quite an uncomfortable day for her coz she knew waayy too many girls there.

our job was VERY simple.

all we had to do was to verify the players, by ensuring that they are the 'registered players'.

how did we do it?

we were each in-charge of a court.

then, for every match that is being played at our courts, we wld have to take the teams' file, containing their i/c or student pass or driver's license, and go up to each player of both teams and verify.

simple right?

but then, some players forgot to bring their i.d., thus, making it difficult for us to verify them.

so, most of the time, we gave the benefit of the doubt.

but there were times when i got a teeny weeny bit irritated wif some teams tt i had to succumb to threaten.

hehehehe....

there was a team who think tt they were made up of pretty girls, that they purposely came late for most of their games.

so, i had to say, "pls come early for ur next game, esp if u girls are playing in my court, coz if not, i wld have to disqualify your team."

hahahaha......

then there's another one who didn't hand up their declaration form.

i was instructed by one of the staff to ask them for their declaration form by their next match, which is at my court.

so, i asked the team manager to pass me their declaration form by their next match.

she said, "but i've alr talked to so-and-so, and he said we can pass it to him after the whole event."

no wanting to argue, i simply said, "oh, he had alr given me new instructions. he said if u girls do not hand me ur declaration forms by the next match, i will have to disqualify your team."

that left them scrambling to their bags at the bleachers, searching for their declaration form.

*evil laughter*
